The project began with a series of meetings involving Robert Jarvis, members of the Creative Partnership Kent team and key staff at all of the
three schools. At each school the project in hand was discussed with respect to the school's perceived needs, strengths and weaknesses and
then the project was shaped around these perceptions. The project dates were also chosen, the number of sessions agreed and the criteria
established for choosing which pupils and staff would be involved.
In Brockhill Park School and Hartsdown Technology College there was to be
a specially allocated member of staff present for the whole of Robert's time with the students; in Whitstable Community College there was to
be a different member of staff with him on each weekly session.
Seven sessions were agreed: one a week between autumn halfterm and the Christmas break.
During this time the students would work with Robert Jarvis on the creation and recording of a series of compositions to make up the content
for the launch installation. The music would also be recorded onto CD.
